US President Donald Trump said he and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “get along very good” and added that the Israeli leader “knows who the boss is” in a phone interview with Axios.
Trump also confirmed that he expects to meet Netanyahu soon after the Nato summit in Turkey, saying the Israeli prime minister had requested a meeting at the White House.
Netanyahu’s office said the two leaders agreed during a recent phone call to meet in the United States in the near future.
“During their conversation, the Prime Minister said that the United States is a guarantor of global freedom, and that Israel greatly values the close relationship between the two nations,” Netanyahu’s office said Friday.
