A Ukrainian citizen suspected of stealing money from clients of a Ukrainian bank has been extradited from Germany to Ukraine.

As Ukrinform reports, the Office of the Prosecutor General announced this on its website.

According to the investigation, in 2023 the suspect, a resident of the city of Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region, organized a scheme with an accomplice to steal money from customers of a Ukrainian bank.

Investigators found that the suspect's accomplice was serving a prison sentence in temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. He called victims while posing as a bank security officer and, under the pretext of a "security check," obtained confidential payment card information.
