The founder of the Iru Ekun Security Network and Yoruba Nation activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has announced the rescue of a woman and her son who were abducted in Igbope, Oorelope Local Government Area of Oyo State.
According to Igboho, the victims, identified as Adijat Kubura Aliqlas and her son, Abdulmalik, were rescued in Kwara State following a joint operation involving operatives of the Iru Ekun Security Network and the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) of the Nigeria Police Force.
A statement issued by Igboho’s media office on Saturday said the operation, which lasted about three days, was made possible through intelligence gathering and the tracking of the kidnappers.
It added that the suspects were lured into collecting ransom before security operatives launched an assault on them.
