Suspected armed bandits on Saturday attacked farmers at Rinyan village in Tahoss community of Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing one woman and injuring another.
The attack occurred at about 3 50 p.m.while the victims were working on their farm, according to local sources.
The deceased was identified as Mrs. Hudung Luka, 40, who was reportedly shot dead by the assailants.
Another victim, Mrs. Ladi Istifanus, 50, sustained gunshot injuries and was rushed to a medical facility for treatment.
