President Volodymyr Zelensky began his visit to the Odesa region with a coordination meeting involving the command of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where participants discussed the security situation in southern Ukraine, strengthening the region's air defense, and enhancing the combat capabilities of the Navy.

According to Ukrinform, the president announced this on Telegram.

"Primary attention was given to countering constant Russian air attacks with shaheds and missiles, as well as readiness to respond to threats at sea. We also addressed our deep-strike operations, strengthening communication systems, mine countermeasure capabilities, and training and equipping naval infantry," Zelensky said.

According to the president, the meeting also covered increasing the number of helicopters to reinforce the region's air defense and identified additional requirements to strengthen the combat capabilities of the Naval Forces.
