Health Minister K.G. Arunraj inaugurated three completed scheme works, laid foundation stone for a project and distributed welfare assistance at Tiruchengode in Namakkal on Saturday (July 4, 2026).In a function, the Minister inaugurated three completed scheme works worth ₹1.41 crore, including a two-storey public health laboratory building constructed at a cost of ₹1 crore in 2,734 sq. ft., with a laboratory, drug warehouse, technical expert room, and toilet facilities at the Tiruchengode Government Hospital. He also inaugurated two classroom buildings worth ₹32.25 lakh at the Pachampudhupalayam Panchayat Union Middle School, and a ₹8.44-lakh kitchen building at a government higher secondary school at S. Iraiyamangalam.The Minister then laid the foundation stone for the construction of a 10,000-litre capacity overhead water tank worth ₹8.50 lakh at Ondi Muniappan Nagar in Nagarpalayam. Later, he distributed welfare assistance worth ₹37.35 lakh to 171 beneficiaries.Speaking at the function, the Minister said that camps collecting petitions from the people of the Tiruchengode Assembly constituency were held on Saturday. The camp will be conducted every month, and the petitions will be directly received from the residents, which will be addressed through the department officials concerned before the next meeting, the Minister stated. District Collector L. Madhubalan, District Superintendent of Police Yadav Girish Ashok, and officials from Revenue, Health, and Co-operative Departments participated.
