NewsUK NewsHeatwaveA Met Office meteorologist says a heatwave is coming to parts of Southern England and Wales with temperatures climbing to the low 30s at the start of next week14:00, 04 Jul 2026Updated 19:42, 04 Jul 2026The Met Office has said another heatwave is on its way to the UK with peaks of a sweltering 34C possible in the South East by Thursday or Friday.‌The latest prediction comes as maps from forecaster WXCharts show parts of the country face 30C or above for a scorching six days in a row from Tuesday to Sunday.‌The Met Office says temperatures are forecast to rise to 29C on Sunday, then approach the low 30s next week before a peak of 34C on Thursday or Friday in the South East.‌It is expected to be a prolonged spell of hot weather in parts of the UK, but it will not be as hot and humid as last month's heatwave, the forecaster added.Met Office meteorologist Becky Mitchell said: "We have got a heatwave on the way across parts of southern England and Wales.‌"There will be highs of 29C tomorrow (Sunday) in the south. At the start of next week we will see temperatures approach the low 30s."The peak of the heat appears to be Thursday or Friday, 34C in the South East.
