Retirement speculation intensified after Ronaldo’s sister, Katia Aveiro, suggested that the 2026 FIFA World Cup could mark his final appearance for Portugal. Speaking to Portuguese broadcaster Sport TV and journalists in Toronto, she reportedly described the tournament as her brother’s “last dance” on the international stage.
However, Ronaldo has not confirmed any such decision.
