Build One South Africa has joined the growing field of parties contesting Cape Town’s mayoral chain, naming Roger Solomons as its candidate.

Build One South Africa (BOSA) has named its national spokesperson, Roger Solomons, as the party’s mayoral candidate for the City of Cape Town ahead of the local government elections scheduled for November 4, 2026.

The announcement was made on Saturday in Cape Town by party leader Mmusi Maimane.

Launching his campaign under the theme “Cape Town’s next chapter: A city everyone can afford,” Solomons said the election presents an opportunity to build on the city’s administrative strengths while addressing rising living costs, inequality and barriers to opportunity.

“Governance is not only measured by whether a city works. It is measured by who it works for,” he said.
