The force confirmed to the BBC that it first received a call to a "disturbance" then received another that raised "significant concern" for a man outside the block.‌It was established a man had died after falling from the 15-storey building. It has not been confirmed which floor he fell from.‌"His death is being treated as unexpected and is under investigation," an Essex Police spokesman said.Residents told the BBC they heard a commotion at around 5.45am on Friday. Steve Watkins, 48, who lives on the 14th floor, said he heard "a big scream and a crash of glass".Article continues belowDaryll Hall, 36, added: "What I heard was a big bang followed by loads of screaming and shouting. Then, probably 10 minutes later, sirens."Officers said an investigation has been launched, including door-to-door inquiries and CCTV checks.
