Chrisland School has defended its crown at the 2026 Daniel Oreoluwa Adebiyi (D.O.A.) Foundation Soccer Challenge after defeating Faith Academy 2-1 in a thrilling final, which held at the Chrisland College Idimu (CCI) stadium in Lagos.
The victory saw Chrisland retain the title after also emerging champions in the 2025 edition of the annual grassroots football tournament.
The 5th edition organised in memory of the late Daniel Oreoluwa Adebiyi, a gifted young footballer and former Chrisland student, the competition featured eight schools in a celebration of youth football, sportsmanship and talent development.
Faith Academy finished as runners-up, while Supreme Education Foundation claimed third place after an impressive outing in the one-day tournament.
Speaking after the final, Chief Executive Officer of the D.O.A. Foundation, Dr. Mike Adebiyi, reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to expanding the competition and creating greater opportunities for young footballers across Nigeria.
