Thousands of mourners have gathered at Tehran’s Grand Mosalla complex ahead of funeral ceremonies for Iran’s late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to AFP.
The main courtyard of the complex was filled with people before the official start of the ceremonies, while authorities imposed extensive traffic restrictions across the capital. A
FP reported that many mourners walked several kilometres to reach the venue, and videos shared online showed crowds waiting for metro stations to open in order to travel to the site.
