Deltans are yet to recover from the shocking news of how Mr Fejiro Obiere butchered his younger brother, Mr Joseph Obiere, to death over a pair of slippers behind their apartment.

According to the police, they were both students of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE) in Ugbomoro, Uvwie Local Government Area, at the time of the sad incident.
Residents in Ugbomoro, the university community where the two lived, wondered why a 21-year-old who is old enough to protect his younger ones in the absence of his parents would take the life of his 19-year-old brother because of a disagreement over a little thing like bathroom slippers. “I have not stopped asking myself why the young man did what he did. Could it be parental failure?” Madam Agnes asked.
