The event saw the first appearance of Sami Zayn as the new Undisputed WWE Champion and his first challenger emerging following a major main event showdown. Rey Fenix went up against the AAA star El Hijo Del Vikingo in a classic bout that enthralled the audience. However, as the dust settled, Fenix executed a Mexican Muscle Buster on Vikingo and pinned him to retain his title.Laney Reid vs. Brie BellaWWE Hall of Famer Brie Bella competed in a singles match against Fatal Influence member Laney Reid. The match concluded in Reid picking up the win after her cohorts distracted Bella long enough for Reid to capitalize.Cody Rhodes vs. Jey UsoThe main event match saw Cody Rhodes battle Main Event Jey Uso in a No.1 contender singles match. The bout saw former-friends-turned-foes compete in an evenly matched showdown. Both men were coming off huge defeats at Night of Champions and had to regain momentum with this match. As the dust settled, The American Nightmare delivered a thunderous Cross Rhodes on Uso and won the match.
