Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Friday urged the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for the 2027 Ogun State election and senator representing Ogun West, Solomon Adeola, to remain focused on his ambition while seeking divine direction.
Obasanjo gave the advice while receiving Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta during a visit by the APC governorship candidate, who sought his support, blessings and guidance ahead of the 2027 election.
“My prayer is that your desires and your ambitions will be in alignment with what God has planned for you,” the former President said.
He recalled how his youthful ambition to study geology and work in the oil and gas industry gave way to a military career, which he described as God’s purpose for his life.
