The Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy says her department will no longer use X. It’s the second to quit Elon Musk’s social media platform after the Attorney General’s office.
In what was presumably her last post, Ms Nandy declared that X “now favours abuse and misinformation over meaningful debate”, adding “it isn’t healthy for democracy”.
The Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch criticised the move, saying the Culture Department “is supposed to counter and deal with misinformation, not run away”.
