Awardees at the 57th year Drama awards for Tamil stage plays in 2025 at an event organised by the academy in Chennai on Friday.

Thirty-three awards were presented at the 57th Year Drama Awards for ‘Tamil stage plays-Bests of 2025’ organised by The Mylapore Academy here on Friday.Industrialist Nalli Kuppuswamy Chetti said, “Along with honouring stage artists, technicians, sabhas and writers too have been given awards. This shows how dedicated and invested the organisation is to the stage plays. If someone receives an award from this academy, then it is a special honour,” he added.President of The Mylapore Academy and former Judge of Madras High Court S. Jagadeesan the academy was started 75 years back by Narayana Murthy, M.S. Ramachandran, C.S. Veeraraghavan, K. S.Viswanathan and their friends and has been running well since then.Honorary secretary of The Mylapore Academy K.J. Suriyanarayanan said our main aim is to promote the growth of art and it should be passed onto the next generation.Director Bombay Chanakya and artists Appa Ramesh and Fathima Babu also spoke at the event.
