His spell at the City Ground encompassed just eight matches, in which his side failed to register a win.The Australian has been doing punditry work for British broadcaster ITV Sport during this summer’s World Cup.He now replaces Jorge Jesus at Saudi champions Al Nassr, whose squad includes Cristiano Ronaldo, Joao Felix, Sadio Mane and Kingsley Coman.

— AlNassr FC (@AlNassrFC_EN) July 3, 2026The former Tottenham Hotspur head coach oversaw Forest’s elimination from the Carabao Cup against Championship side Swansea City and his team collected just one point from five Premier League matches, while also failing to win two games in the league phase of the Europa League.Prior to his short stint at Forest, Postecoglou spent two seasons at Spurs, where he won the Europa League in 2024-25 — the club’s first trophy in 17 years — but was sacked following a 17th-place Premier League finish. The club’s total of 22 losses was the most of any team not to be relegated in a 38-game Premier League season.Postecoglou has three decades of managerial experience, beginning his career in Australia and eventually managing the national side between 2013 and 2017, leading their side at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.Spells with Japan’s Yokohama F.
