Following an advisory from the weather authorities (Regional Meteorological Department), the Fisheries department officials have said that they would not issue tokens to fishermen from Saturday (July 4) until further orders.According to the officials, due to rough sea and bad weather conditions, they have appealed to the fishermen not to venture into the seas for fishing. The Rameswaram and Mandapam fishermen, who would normally set in the Palk Straits tomorrow (Saturday), were advised to stay away.Until the normal weather was restored, they would not be allowed.
