MANILA, Philippines — A police corporal assigned to the Taguig City Police Station is now being investigated for allegedly harassing a minor, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said.
“This is unacceptable. We condemn any form of misconduct, especially those involving children. We will ensure that the case is investigated thoroughly, impartially, and in accordance with the law,” PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. stressed in a statement on Friday.
“I have directed the Southern Police District and the Taguig City Police… to expedite the investigation and submit a report on the incident… [and] to ensure that the respondent remains off operational duties while the case is being resolved,” he noted.
