Political rhetoric from some Central European countries toward Ukraine does not always reflect the true state of bilateral relations, according to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Andrii Veselovskyi, an Advisor to the Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies.
Speaking on Ihor Dolhov's Program, Veselovskyi said that despite public disagreements, practical cooperation between Ukraine and its Central European partners remains intact.
"In reality, nothing has changed: weapons continue to be delivered, companies continue signing agreements with one another. Essentially, nothing has broken down so far. We've had arguments, but we are still neighbors," the diplomat said.
Veselovskyi stressed that Russia's aggression remains the main factor shaping Central Europe's security policy, regardless of domestic political debates.
"No matter how much they criticize Ukraine's actions, they understand that Ukraine's defeat would pose a deadly threat to them," he said.
