Bulgarian tennis star Grigor Dimitrov booked his place in the third round of Wimbledon after producing an impressive four-set victory over 15th-seeded Jakub Mensik, overcoming the Czech 7-6(5), 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 in a high-quality contest on the grass courts of the All England Club.

The Bulgarian will next face Italy's Matteo Berrettini, who secured his own place in the next round by defeating 20th seed Arthur Fils 6-4, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3.

The opening set was tightly contested, with Mensik, ranked No. 18 in the world, serving exceptionally well. The Czech fired nine aces and won 74% of his first-serve points, putting constant pressure on Dimitrov. Despite that, the Bulgarian stayed composed during the biggest moments, successfully saving all seven break points he faced. The set ultimately went to a tiebreak, where Dimitrov claimed the crucial mini-break to level at 4-4 before closing it out 7-5 to take the early lead.

The second set followed a similar pattern, with both players holding serve until the closing stages. This time, however, Mensik capitalized on his fourth break-point opportunity to move ahead 5-4 before serving for the set. Dimitrov fought back by saving three set points, but the Czech converted his fourth chance to level the match at one set apiece.
