Adeyemi, who is currently facing prosecution before the Federal High Court in Abuja, maintained that he was innocent and expressed confidence that the court would eventually clear his name.

Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, the self-acclaimed Director-General of the controversial Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) and Presidential Economic Advisory Council, has insisted that his appointment was genuine despite being arraigned over allegations bordering on conspiracy, forgery and impersonation.

Adeyemi, who is currently facing prosecution before the Federal High Court in Abuja, maintained that he was innocent and expressed confidence that the court would eventually clear his name.

He stated this on Thursday night during a telephone interview on Politics Today, a programme aired by Channels Television.

When asked whether he was evading law enforcement authorities, Adeyemi denied the allegation.
