Weather tomorrow July 4: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast widespread rainfall, thunderstorms and heavy downpours across large parts of the country on July 3 and July 4, with several states expected to witness intense monsoon activity. Heavy rain likely in North India Monsoon conditions remain active over the western Himalayan region, bringing the possibility of heavy rainfall in several states.Himachal Pradesh According to IMD, Himachal Pradesh is likely to receive widespread rainfall on July 3, with isolated very heavy rainfall at some locations. "Orange Alerts have been issued for Kangra district on July 2, 3 and 5. Orange Alerts have also been issued for Kullu and Mandi on July 6, Shimla on July 5 and 6, and Sirmaur on July 5 and 6," he said. Although no flash flood warning has been issued at present, Katiyar cautioned that districts placed under orange alert face an increased risk of landslides, mudslides and localised flash floods due to intense rainfall activity."As rainfall continues across the state over the coming week, water levels and flow in rivers and streams will continue to rise. We have advised people to stay away from rivers and seasonal nullahs during and after rainfall," he said. Kangra district is likely to witness continuous spells of heavy rain over the next few days, while Kullu, Mandi and Shimla are also expected to receive significant rainfall. Orange alerts have been issued for multiple districts, and authorities have warned of possible landslides, mudslides and localised flash floods in vulnerable areas.Uttarakhand Uttarakhand is expected to receive widespread rainfall on both July 3 and July 4. The IMD has also warned of isolated heavy rainfall, with very heavy rainfall possible in some areas, especially in hilly districts.Jammu and Kashmir Widespread rainfall is likely across Jammu and Kashmir on July 3, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds reaching up to 60 kmph. Heavy rainfall is also expected in isolated locations. On July 4, rainfall activity may reduce slightly, with scattered showers forecast across the region.Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh weather Delhi, Haryana and Punjab are likely to experience scattered rainfall on July 3 and July 4, along with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds. In Uttar Pradesh, scattered rainfall is expected across both western and eastern regions. Thunderstorms and lightning may accompany rain activity, especially on July 3. The IMD has warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall, with extremely heavy rainfall possible at isolated places during both days. Thunderstorms and lightning are also expected.Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal Bihar may witness scattered rainfall on July 3 and July 4, along with thunderstorms and gusty winds. Jharkhand is expected to receive scattered rainfall on July 3 before rain activity intensifies later in the week.
