The Indonesian Quarantine Agency (Barantin) said it is currently simplifying 22 agency regulations and coordinating with multiple ministries to implement a single submission and single inspection system.

The Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo) has requested the Indonesian Quarantine Agency (Barantin) to relax quarantine restrictions amid soaring logistics costs driven by geopolitical tensions. Barantin head Abdul Kadir Karding said that Apindo had conveyed several recommendations to reduce export and import barriers for fisheries, agriculture and animal products.
“We received many valuable inputs. The first one is a request for us to improve, simplify and make services more efficient, so the process can be made faster,” he said on Wednesday, as quoted by Kompas.com.
