Senator Sharafadeen Alli, on Thursday, received the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination form as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 general election in Oyo State.
The Senator representing Oyo South senatorial district also unveiled Mr. Adesoji Michael Adedeji, a 46-year-old Economics graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, from Iwo-Ate in Ogo Oluwa Local Government Area as his running mate.
Speaking at the event, the APC chairman in Oyo State and former Deputy Governor, Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo, urged party members to remain united and work together to secure victory in the 2027 elections.
Adeyemo said it was better for the party to be in government than in the opposition, appealing to aggrieved members to put aside their grievances and support the APC.
“By the grace of God, come May 29, 2027, our governor and deputy governor will be Senator Sharafadeen Alli and Hon. Adesoji Adedeji. I plead with us in the name of the Lord to come together,” he said.
