KARACHI: Total oil sales dipped by one per cent to 16.2 million tonnes in FY26 from 16.3m tonnes in FY25.
However, June recorded a 20pc year-on-year decline to 1.26m tonnes, but was up 7pc month-on-month.
The YoY decrease was seen due to relatively higher prices, while sales recovered in June after fuel costs eased from unprecedented levels, Myesha Sohail of Topline Securities said.
In June, petrol prices increased by 32pc YoY to an average of Rs338 per litre from Rs256 per litre in the same period last year. Similarly, high-speed diesel (HSD) prices averaged Rs346, a 34pc YoY increase from Rs259 per litre.
