Spain secured a 3-0 victory over Austria, advancing to the Round of 16 - EFE

​International Desk, Jul 2 (EFE).- Spain beat Austria 3-0 in the knockout round of the World Cup on Thursday, and they’re through to the round of 16.

Two goals by Mikel Oyarzabal and one by Pedro Porro secured the Spanish national team’s first victory in a knockout round since 2010.

Mikel Oyarzabal scored first in the first half, and Pedro Porro made it 2-0 with a header.

Oyarzabal then made sure of the win with a final goal in stoppage time.

“La Roja” will now meet the winner between Portugal and Croatia.EFE
