Katy Perry brought California to Oxfordshire as she wowed with hit after hit during her headline set at Blenheim Palace Festival in Woodstock, Oxfordshire ☆☆☆☆☆19:39, 02 Jul 2026Katy Perry is back on British soil with a bang as she brought her Out of Office tour to Oxfordshire.‌The pop superstar, 41, reflected on her rollercoaster love life during an eclectic headline set at Blenheim Palace Festival in Woodstock. As she performed her biggest hits including California Gurls, Wide Awake and Dark Horse, it was her exes that took the biggest hit of the night.‌Singing Never Really Over, she stood in front of a huge phone, where she repeatedly declined fake calls from a JM (ex John Mayer, who she dated on and off between 2012 and 2015) and DJ Diplo, who she had a short fling with in 2014.‌Her exes were also the butt of the joke once again when she played an interactive game with the audience. With fans' faces broadcast on a giant laptop, she asked them to do various poses - with even X Factor stars Jedward getting involved. One fan was asked to 'pose like you've just seen your ex', to which Katy joked through the microphone: "I hope my ex isn't here." It's not clear what ex she was referring to as she made the joke, with fans hanging on her every word.‌Katy - who was married to Russell Brand from 2019 to 2012 - is very much loved up with her new beau Justin Trudeau and there was a song dedicated to him in the form of her track, I'M HIS, HE'S MINE.The popstar and former Canadian Prime Minister were first linked in summer 2025 and confirmed their romance with a public outing in October as she shouted "Happy Canada day" to the audience, some of which wowed in bright wigs and one even dressed as a strawberry!‌In full Katy fashion, there were men in muscle suits to suit the Californian vibe, later changing into astronaut suits for a space-themed section. A joke about performing in "Winston Churchill's backyard", she jumped in an inflatable water bottle to crowd surf through the packed venue, she blasted out more hits including Hot N Cold, Last Friday Night and a stripped back version of Roar.Throughout the night, she offered advice to young heartbroken fans - "I know your parents are saying there'll be someone else and you feel like it won't happen, trust me it gets better" - and urged those struggling to stay present whilst reflecting on her own life."Sometimes my roar was not loud, sometimes I gave my roar away and sometimes I didn't feel like roaring ... life is truly beautiful the longer you decide to live it. I am glad I decided to live it," she told the crowd.‌It was a spectacle like no other as she danced with an alien for E.T. and pulled out a huge cannon, designed like a bottle of sun cream, and covered the crowd in foam to end the night with her hit Firework.‌Under the watchful eye of her daughter Daisy, five, who she shares with her former partner Orlando Bloom, she told of her love of making packed lunches for her daughter, addressing her directly as she said: "I love you Daisy, I'm glad you're staying up late with me."Celebrities in attendance at the glam event included Princess Beatrice, Stella McCartney and Blur’s Alex James, as Katy joked about politics, the heatwave and even her infamous 10 minute trip to Space on Blue Origin last year.Despite it being a summer night in Oxfordshire, the mood was certainly California and Daisy Dukes in the grounds of Blenheim Palace.Article continues belowLike this story?
