Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced $26 million in charitable donations to over a dozen organizations across the country ahead of the power couple’s wedding this weekend.
A representative for Swift sent a press release Monday confirming the $26 million figure and listing 20 different organizations receiving the money ranging from food banks to after-school programs and hospitals. While widespread media reports have all but confirmed the nuptials for this week at Madison Square Garden, the release didn’t mention anything about the wedding.
Among the organizations Swift and Kelce donated to are the Food Bank for NYC, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, ASPCA, After-School All-Stars and the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
Fervor around Swift and Kelce’s wedding has reached a fever pitch this week as the day appears to be near. Just this morning, the New York Times reported on an NYPD police memo sharing some of the plans for the ceremony, detailing a smaller rehearsal dinner for about 100 people at Madison Square Garden this evening, with a larger celebration for about 1,000 people on July 3.
Despite the continued reports, Swift and Kelce and their teams are yet to issue any public comment about their wedding, and some fans still believe whatever is happening could be some sort of elaborate ruse.
