Karoline Leavitt’s failed political campaign owes more than a debt of gratitude to supporters.The White House press secretary’s losing run for Congress is more than $300,000 in the hole after not paying down its debt for several months, The Daily Beast reported this week from a campaign finance quarterly filing.Leavitt ran as a Republican for the House of Representatives in New Hampshire in 2022, losing to Democratic incumbent Chris Pappas.Her defeat to the blue party has put her in the red by the amount of $326,370.50. She owes $40,000-plus sums to vendors such as a GOP consulting firm and a polling firm. Others among the dozens of creditors include former New Hampshire Gov. Craig Benson (R).But Leavitt did pay back her parents $2,900 each, NOTUS previously reported.The Trump mouthpiece is not personally liable for the debt, according to a report by Open Secrets.
