Police explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) specialists recovered fragments of a Russian Kh-69 missile equipped with a cluster warhead in Kyiv's Obolonskyi district following Russia's massive overnight attack.
The Kyiv branch of Ukraine's National Police said this in a statement seen by Ukrinform.
According to the specialists, some of the missile's submunitions had detonated, but 12 remained live and in combat-ready condition.
Police safely removed the unexploded submunitions and handed them over to the State Emergency Service for destruction at a designated disposal site. Fragments of the missile's body were also recovered.
Russian forces launched a massive missile and drone attack on Kyiv on July 2, causing damage in every district of the capital.
