More people continued to be transported to the Department of Home Affairs office in Epping on Wednesday as the repatriation process for foreign nationals continued across the country.

Since Sunday, more than 2000 people have passed through the Epping office, which has served as a processing centre for hundreds of Zimbabwean nationals who fled from various parts of the Western Cape ahead of the planned nationwide anti-immigration protests on Tuesday.

Four temporary tents have been erected by Gift of the Givers, which has been providing meals since Sunday, when the group was moved from near the Zimbabwean consulate in District Six.
