Animals were injured and several buildings were damaged at the Kyiv Zoo as a result of Russia's massive attack.

According to Ukrinform, the Kyiv City State Administration reported this, citing the Kyiv Zoo municipal enterprise.

Tortoises and crocodiles were injured after being struck by falling glass shards and pieces of window frames. No animals were killed.

Zoo staff, who remain on duty around the clock to care for the animals, immediately provided the necessary treatment. All animals are currently safe.

The attack damaged the zoo's primate and bird department buildings, the winter garden dome, the aquaterrarium, the hay storage facility, and the northern entrance area. Exotic plants in the winter garden were also damaged.
