Ancient Greek Sandals, the company Christina Martini and Nikolas Minoglou created in 2012, is selling a 60% stake to Spain’s Camper, one of the best-known footwear companies in the world, in the first acquisition of a Greek company in the fashion sector by a foreign group.
The agreement provides that Minoglou and Martini, as well as co-owner Giannis Vagenas, will retain 40% of the company.
At the same time, they will maintain the management of the company with Minoglou as CEO, Martini as creative director and Vagenas as chief brand & marketing officer. Ancient Greek Sandals will continue to operate as a fully independent brand.
