Brits were left gobsmacked when they realised who was actually singing to them as they enjoyed their evening in Seville, Spain, and the performance was perfect11:28, 02 Jul 2026Busking on the streets is a common sight, but Brits were left floored when they realised who was actually singing to them as they enjoyed an evening in Spain. Seville is a sun-drenched Spanish city renowned for its mudéjar architecture, tapas culture, and flamenco, and it's somewhere you can wile away the hours with a delicious sangria in a gorgeous square while you take in the sights and sounds of the city in the evening. And part of the culture is music, which is universally enjoyed by so many people. But what would you do if you realised there was an iconic celebrity singing to you? That's exactly what happened to people in Seville when they heard someone singing 'Angels' by Robbie Williams, only to realise it was the former Take That band member himself singing it to them. One of the people lucky enough to see it with their own eyes was TikTok user @cierancasey2609, who posted a video, captioning it: "Robbie Williams in Seville."People whooped, cheered, and screamed as Robbie Williams stood there in front of the crowd, dressed in a casual all-black outfit and a cap, singing an acoustic version of his hit song, which came out in December 1997.As someone else sang loudly near him, he joked, "You know it!" as he pointed to the person in the crowd who was loving the performance.Content cannot be displayed without consentRobbie bantered back and forth with the person singing, putting his hands jokily on his hips, having the crowd in stitches, and then he started the song from the top, and the whole crowd joined in.He messed up the timing of the song, laughing at himself, knowing that he had nothing to prove in that moment, and was just having a good time.Robbie encouraged everyone to sing along to the line 'I'm loving angels instead' before the chorus, which he belted out with gusto. At the end of the chorus, he shouted into the mic: "I'm off!" and walked away from the crowd with his hands raised, waving, who were left gobsmacked at what they just saw for themselves, screaming and cheering. The song Angels is so iconic and meaningful for so many people, as it's about seeking unconditional love, spiritual protection, and salvation during times of loneliness or despair. And if you've seen Robbie's hit film 'Better Man,' you'll know that the song serves as an emotional centrepiece within the film.In the comments, someone said that they love how "no one hassled him" and he was just able to leave at the end of his performance, rather than having people piling on him. Everyone was really respectful and just grateful for what they were able to witness for themselves."Absolutely nuts," another wrote, with a third saying: "This is beautiful."Article continues belowSomeone accused the guitarist of "messing up," but it wasn't that serious, and was just a fun moment for the British tourists to enjoy. What would you do if you saw this?
