The Princess of Wales put on an elegant display as she arrived at Wimbledon this morning, marking her first appearance at the Championships this year.Kate, 44, looked typically stylish in a royal blue suit teamed with a white top and £60 lapis lazuli and moonstone earrings from Wolf & Badger when stepping out at SW19.The mother-of-three kept her hair in a chic updo to better show off her new jewellery and finished off her look with a smattering of glamorous makeup. Kate, patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC), visited The Queue upon her arrival, spending time meeting attendees who have waited since early this morning for Wimbledon tickets.She also helped hand out grounds passes to tennis fans, some of whom had camped overnight in Wimbledon Park, and met with AELTC’s Honorary Stewards, who volunteer each year to manage The Queue and welcome guests as they arrive.Later this afternoon, Kate is expected to watch a match on one of the outer courts. She will be joined by chair of the All England Club Deborah Jevans. During her time at the Championships, the Princess will also meet children from Shine Camera Club. The creative photography programme is based within the charity SHINE Merton which supports children from disadvantaged backgrounds to develop confidence, creativity and self expression through photography. In 2025, Shine Camera Club took part in a learning programme during the Championships, where students created a portrait series celebrating community trailblazers, which was later exhibited at the Wimbledon Qualifiers. This year, the children will spend the day taking photos of the Championships, and the Princess will join them to learn about the charity and view the photos they’ve taken.As a royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club since 2016, Kate is a regular fixture at the prestigious tournament.She has attended most years since 2011, missing only 2013, when she was pregnant with Prince George, and 2020, when the tournament was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.It is unclear whether she will sit in the Royal Box on Centre Court today where third seed Iga Swiatek is due to take on Karolina Pliskova in the second round of the Ladies Singles. This will be followed by young French star Arthur Fils, 20, who is taking on Italian player Matteo Berrettini. Two-time Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina will close out play on the show court with her match against American Caty McNally.
