New Delhi, Jun 30 (PTI) Registration of properties in Mumbai rose 16 per cent to 13,413 units during June, marking a 14-year high for the month on better housing demand, according to Knight Frank.

As many as 11,599 properties were registered in June last year. In a statement on Tuesday, real estate consultant Knight Frank India said the registration of properties in Mumbai city (area under BMC jurisdiction) stood at 13,413 units till 9.30 pm on June 30.

The consultant cited the data compiled from Maharashtra government’s Department of Registrations and Stamps. The data relates to transactions from both primary and secondary real estate markets. “Mumbai’s residential market has maintained its strong momentum, with June 2026 recording the highest property registrations for the month in the past 14 years. This performance is achieved despite a high base from last year, underscores the resilience of end-user demand and sustained homebuyer confidence,” Shishir Baijal, International Partner, Chairman & Managing Director at Knight Frank India, said.
