New Delhi: Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday will begin an official visit to France to further bolster bilateral economic cooperation and promote India as an attractive investment destination in a conflict-ridden world.In a statement, the finance ministry said her visit will also bolster the India-France Strategic Partnership and promote technology collaboration and innovation.The minister will co-chair the India-France Economic & Financial Dialogue with Roland Lescure, minister of economy, finance and industrial and energy sovereignty of France, at Aix-en-Provence.Sitharaman will also hold one-to-one meetings with select global chief executives and participate in a roundtable interaction with leading business executives to showcase India's robust macroeconomic fundamentals, ongoing structural reforms, expanding investment opportunities and long-term growth prospects, the ministry said.She will participate in a panel discussion on the theme "How to Promote the Growth of a New Middle Class" at the Les Rencontres Economiques d'Aix-en-Provence, one of Europe's key annual forums for dialogue.The forum typically brings together heads of governments, ministers, central bankers, business leaders, economists, academics and representatives of international organisations from across the globe to deliberate on prevailing economic challenges.
