Dan Rainville / Imagn ImagesJuly 1, 2026 Updated 2:56 pm EDTOhio State’s run on elite receiver talent continues on the recruiting trail as five-star 2028 receiver Jett Harrison committed to the Buckeyes.Harrison, the younger brother of former Ohio State receiver and current Arizona Cardinal Marvin Harrison Jr. and the son of Marvin Harrison Sr., is the No. 4 player in the 2028 class and the No. 2 receiver, according to the 247Sports Composite. The 6-foot-1 receiver has been on Ohio State’s radar for years, but that was under former receivers coach Brian Hartline. With Hartline gone, this adds to an already strong recruiting streak for new receivers coach Cortez Hankton. Hankton kept five-star 2027 commit Jamier Brown on board, got 2029 receiver Austin Miller to commit early and now has Harrison, giving the Buckeyes a five-star receiver in seven straight recruiting classes. While Jett’s older brother was a four-star receiver from St. Joseph’s Prep, Harrison has been among the best receivers in his class. In August 2024, Marvin Jr. said Jett is better than he was at that age. That’s a high standard to live up to, considering Jett’s father is a Hall of Fame receiver and Marvin Jr. is one of two Ohio State receivers to win the Biletnikoff Award. There’s hope that Jett can continue the elite family tradition with the Buckeyes. Not only does this continue to paint Ohio State as the premier receiver school in the country, but it also extends a hot streak on the recruiting trail. In the last two weeks, Ohio State has secured commitments from Harrison, Miller, five-star 2027 defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou, and four-star offensive tackle Caden Moss.Jul 1, 2026Connections: Sports EditionSpot the pattern.
