The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration with the World Bank to accelerate access to safe water and enhance food security, with the assurance coming in a statement on Wednesday by the Personal Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Terhemen Oraduen on Wednesday.

The Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Engr. Prof. Joseph Utsev gave the assurance while receiving a World Bank delegation led by the Task Team Leader for the Sustainable Power and Irrigation for Nigeria Project, Zack Zieglhifer, at his office in Abuja.

Utsev said the partnership with the World Bank remained critical to delivering the Tinubu administration’s priorities in the water and agriculture sectors.

According to him, the Renewed Hope Agenda is focused on expanding access to potable water, strengthening food production through irrigated agriculture, and creating jobs for Nigerians.
