According to the OSG, the escalating criminal activities have disrupted normal social and economic life across the kingdom, forcing many residents to live in constant fear.

The Oghara Study Group (OSG) has expressed concerns over the worsening security crisis across Oghara Kingdom in Delta State following the abduction of a husband and wife, the killing of the husband by their kidnappers, and the release of the wife only after a ransom was reportedly paid.

In a statement jointly signed by its conveners, Rev. David Ugolor and Prof. Ogheneruonah Eghweree, the group said the latest incident has exposed the frightening level of insecurity confronting communities in Oghara Kingdom and called for immediate intervention by the Federal Government, the Delta State government, security agencies, and other relevant authorities.

According to the group, the tragic incident has left families devastated, heightened fear among residents, and further demonstrated the urgent need for decisive government action to halt the growing wave of violent crime.

The statement read, "The recent abduction of a husband and wife, the brutal killing of the husband by their kidnappers, and the eventual release of the wife only after a ransom payment have once again exposed the frightening level of insecurity confronting our communities.
