CLARY / AFP via Getty Images) Timothy A.Clary via Getty ImagesJuly 1, 2026 12:37 pm EDT Updated Bayern Munich have confirmed the signing of Morocco international Ismael Saibari from PSV.The Athletic reported last month that Bayern has reached an agreement in principle with the Dutch champions to sign Saibari, 25, who becomes the German club’s second signing of the summer after Noel Aseko returned to the club following 18 months with Hannover.Saibari is a part of Morocco’s 26-man squad at this summer’s World Cup, and scored in all three of his nation’s group stage games in addition to the winning penalty in their round-of-16 victory over the Netherlands.“As a child, you dream of signing a contract with a club like FC Bayern, Saibari told his new club’s website upon joining the club. “Everybody knows it’s one of the world’s biggest clubs.“FC Bayern compete for the biggest titles like the Champions League every year, and I want to win as many trophies as possible here. FC Bayern’s play suits me, I can play my own style of football here, and I’ll work hard every day to help the team. Coach Vincent Kompany played a key role in my decision – I’m looking forward to working with him.”Saibari adds versatility for Bayern, able to play as an attacking midfielder or as a forward. He departs PSV after helping the club to three consecutive Eredivisie titles.The Moroccan recorded 19 goals and nine assists in 39 appearances in the 2025-26 campaign, including a goal against Bayern in their final league phase fixture in the Champions League, a 2-1 defeat. His goal tally also includes a hat-trick against Feyenoord in a 3-2 win in October.
