July 1 (UPI) -- Beloved actor Danny Glover is going public with his Alzheimer's disease diagnosis.

Glover, known for his film and TV roles in Lethal Weapon, Fallen Angels, Mandela and more, shared Wednesday that he was diagnosed with the neurodegenerative condition in 2023.

In an interview with Lester Holt on Today, Glover said of his diagnosis that he can "live with it, in a sense" but is aware his symptoms will progress.

"I'm sure as it advances, things are going to be different and changing," he added.
