DP World has opened a new distribution centre at Sokhna Logistics Park in Egypt, capable of handling 1,000 TEU of cargo annually.

The facility has already attracted international clients, including a Kenyan tea exporter and a German fibre-optic cable and digital infrastructure multinational.

DP World has invested more than $1.4 billion in Egypt's integrated logistics infrastructure, underscoring the country's importance as a regional investment destination.

"Egypt has been one of our most important investment destinations in the region and today we reaffirm our confidence in its potential," said DP World chairman Essa Kazim.
