Frankie Bridge was diagnosed with ADHD after her Loose Women co-star Denise Welch encouraged her to get tested, the former Saturdays singer has revealed. In a video posted on YouTube on Monday (29 June), the singer and presenter filmed herself talking in her car where she revealed her diagnosis for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.Addressing the editor of her videos, Bridge, 37, said: “I don’t know if I’m going to let you put this in or not, but I found out today I’ve got ADHD.”The mother of two explained that she’d been working on Loose Women with Welch, who has spoken about her own diagnosis and experience with ADHD, when the broadcaster told her that receiving her own diagnosis “completely changed my life”.(Frankie Bridge/YouTube)Welch described how learning she had ADHD had improved her depression and anxiety and had felt like “the missing piece”, before suggesting that she would put Bridge in touch with her team.“I was like, yeah, I mean I could be. But I was kind of just like, well, it’s a box that I’ve ticked and I know I’m not,” Bridge said, before revealing that the expert she spoke to had told her “straight away” that she had ADHD.“It’s like, cool, cool, cool, cool. Shall we just add it to the list?” joked the former S Club Juniors star, who has spoken candidly in recent years about the secret depression struggle she hid from public view for a long time.Bridge continued: “I mean, a part of me is like, hopefully this is the last missing piece that is going to help. Because they do say with a lot of women we’re not diagnosed until we’re a lot older, and by then you’ve already dealt with depression and anxiety for a really long time.”Welch, pictured, suggested Bridge get tested (PA)Watch Apple TV+ free for 7 dayNew subscribers only. £9.99/mo. after free trial.
