The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls in Karnataka gathered momentum on Wednesday, the second day, with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) distributing over 54.68 lakh enumeration forms to electors across the State, accounting for 9.87% of the total electorate.According to the Election Commission of India, Karnataka had 5,54,32,314 electors on the electoral rolls as of June 16, 2026. The enumeration forms have been printed and supplied to all BLOs for door-to-door distribution.As of 6 p.m. on Wednesday, a total of 54,68,607 enumeration forms had been distributed. The digitisation process has also commenced, with 2,38,453 forms (0.43%) uploaded to the system. In addition, 26,213 electors (0.05%) have submitted their enumeration forms online.During the verification process, officials identified 2,565 cases requiring further scrutiny under the Absentee Shifted Death Duplicate and Others (ASDDO) category.The exercise also led to the identification of 1,383 deceased electors, 816 electors who had permanently shifted, 327 persons found to be already enrolled elsewhere, 21 electors who were untraceable or absent, and 18 cases classified under other categories.Highest distribution in Kalaburagi Among the districts, Kalaburagi reported the highest distribution of enumeration forms with 4.06 lakh forms, followed closely by Davangere (3.95 lakh), Koppal (3.63 lakh), and Hassan (3.42 lakh). In terms of digitisation, Raichur led the State with 33,612 forms digitised, followed by Ballari (16,924), Chitradurga (14,809), Chickballapur (14,377), and Koppal (14,247).The house-to-house verification and digitisation of enumeration forms will continue till July 29.
