Another month, another slew of titles that are being removed from Netflix.Every four weeks, the streaming service culls a list of movies and TV shows from its service, ranging from big blockbusters to releases that were originally unveiled on the platform as “originals”.July is no different; among the best films being removed this month are coming-of-age comedy Adventureland (2009), Michael Mann’s crime drama Heat (1995), dystopian Australian thriller The Rover (2014) and Quentin Tarantino’s 2009 film Inglourious Basterds.But the big question mark surrounds the much-discussed removal of Gilmore Girls. The early 2000s family drama — centered on the tight-knit bond between a young mother, Lorelei (Lauren Graham), and her teenage daughter, Rory (Alexis Bledel) — became a Netflix staple since the streamer acquired the licensing rights for all seven seasons in 2014.‘Gilmore Girls’ has been removed from Netflix US (Warner Bros)Despite concluding in 2007, the series became an enduring hit for the platform, with viewership steadily growing over the years, especially in the autumn months.
