While Apple provides a strong security foundation in macOS, some enterprise security teams lack the tools needed to monitor and investigate advanced threats engineered specifically for Apple environments. Aiming to address that need, Jamf announced the general availability of Beacon by Jamf Threat Labs, a new premium threat hunting and analysis service.
“Enterprise Mac adoption has grown at a rapid pace, and threat actors have taken notice,” said Jaron Bradley, Director of Threat Labs at Jamf. “Beacon extends Apple-focused threat hunting directly to customers, helping them strengthen security operations and better understand activity across their Mac environments.”
Proactive macOS threat hunting
The new Beacon service brings the research from detection engineers of Jamf Threat Labs directly into customer environments. The offering is built around three parts to enhance enterprise security posture:
Apple focused threat hunting: IT teams can work with macOS threat hunters with deep knowledge of Apple security frameworks, hacker techniques, and macOS-specific attack areas.
