It is not every day that a community witnesses an event capable of inspiring a generation. The recent launch of three books by renowned business executive, humanitarian, and community leader, Dr. Jerry Oluranti, was one such occasion. For me, it was more than a ceremonial unveiling of books; it was a masterclass in leadership, philanthropy, faith, and purposeful living.
The first lesson was Dr. Oluranti’s unwavering commitment to community development. As the Chief Executive Officer of Complete Care Support Services Inc., Maryland, USA, and Amazon Luxury Apartments, Ilaro, he had every reason to host the launch in Lagos, Abuja, or even the United States. Many business executives of his stature would naturally choose such prestigious destinations for an event of this magnitude. Instead, he deliberately chose Ilaro. That singular decision speaks volumes about his loyalty to his roots and his determination to bring global-standard events back home.
Even more remarkable was his ability to attract distinguished personalities to Ilaro. The event was graced by representatives of former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the Chairman of the Ogun State Council of Obas and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, MFR (the Olu of Ilaro), alongside several respected traditional rulers.
